The discussion on whether SDL has a concept of interfaces is really a fight of words.

Naturally, you can define the interfaces to your types, blocks and processes in SDL-92,
so SDL supports definition of interfaces (gates, channels and signal routes).

However, the currently standardised version of SDL does not support the trendy notation of
interfaces as known from for example Java, COM and CORBA where an interface is something you can
define and manipulate independently of the objects or types that will support them.
This is what the new concept of gate types is intended for.

To me, you are therefore both right ...
