I am having a doubt regarding the Process instance and the ID for each Process instance.

For example,consider there are two instances of a Process say P1 and P2.I should send a signal to each Process instance.

1.How to associate ProcessID with each Process instance?
2.How the signal identifies or knows to which instance it should go?
