Dear Aaron,
There is a tool called Cosmos from TechForce which I know
has implemented an SDL frontend to get metrics from an SDL
specification, for instance the number of inputs, outputs and
so on. I havn't heard anything from TechForce lately so I'm
not sure about the current status of their tool.
Regarding SDL tutorial you could try to check out the home site
of the SDL Forum Society (www.sdl-forum.org), alternatively the
home sites of the SDL tool vendors. (The Society page provides
pointers.)
